Cooling system repair

Cooling system repair

The role of the cooling system is to remove excess heat from the engine to prevent it from overheating. In addition, the system allows for heating the car interior by forcing the hot coolant through the heater. Do not ignore any malfunction of the cooling system. Each part that fails must either be repaired or replaced as soon as possible. Repairing the cooling system is a rather complex task.

  • The most obvious symptom of a cooling system malfunction is increased engine temperature on the dashboard gauge. *Do not check the coolant level when the engine is hot If you remove the cap when the engine is hot, the high pressure in the system will flush the coolant right at you and scold you
  • Do not add water to the cooling system If too thin, the coolant may freeze in winter and damage the engine block
