The arrival of spring and the changing weather are ideal for viewing one element of the car that we, as car owners, often forget, rarely control, but always remember during the bad weather. Yes, you are right, we are talking about the wiper blades!
The wiper blades, as the name implies, are intended to wipe away impurities or to remove excess water from the front, or rear windscreen. As with every part of the vehicle, the wiper blades have been improved and refined over time and, as such, have contributed to improving the safety and aesthetics of the car. Although they became asymmetrical with time, that is, the left wiper blade became longer than the right, they became elastic, aerodynamic, basically remained, made of rubber, which over the time is aging and is also susceptible to fraying. At the same time, they are also the most thermally exposed part of the car, because in addition to being warmed by the sun, they are additionally heated by the windshield in the summer, or cooled in the winter.

Wiper blades with stirrup

Spring wiper blades
Unlike the previous type of wiper blade, the spring wiper blade differs in design, weight, and purpose. To clarify the design, we have used Bosch Aerotwin wiper blades with innovative and patent-protected P-P-P technology, namely Power Protection Plus technology.

When to change wiper blades?
It is ideal to change the wiper blades twice a year in the spring and fall, but always once a year before the fall begins. Why?
In the winter, unless the vehicle is garaged, temperatures drop below zero overnight, and if there are snow and ice, the wiper blades will usually freeze on the windshield. Given today's very fast and busy lifestyle, very few drivers have the patience to let the vehicle warm and release the wiper blades and then consciously damage the wiper blades to start driving as soon as possible.
In this case, there is physical damage to the wiper blade, as the result of the bad habit, such as wiping snow with windscreen wipers. If we were lucky and did not destroy the wiper motor, we certainly damaged the wiper blades, which will no longer wipe the water from the windshield, but "smear" it on the windshield itself.
If we were careful during the winter, the same extreme condition with the opposite sign awaits the wiper blades in spring and summer. As the wiper blades freeze in the winter, they fry in the summer sun, and warming is aided by the heat from the windshield, which can reach the double outside temperature. Earlier in the text, we stated that the wiper blades are made of the quality and soft rubber, but freezing in winter and overheating in summer on the wiper blade leaves a mark in the form of an aging blade. It is a simple phenomenon that the blade becomes rigid, inelastic, and micro irregularities occur when it adheres to the glass surface. These irregularities are seen when wiping as a line of un-wiped water, and in severe cases, all stains remain or whistle or jumping of the wiper blade occurs.
