Repairing aluminium rims is not always possible for safety reasons. If a rim is significantly deformed or cracked in a critical spot, you should buy a new one. Usually, a repair boils down to straightening the bent edges. These, however, sometimes crack during repair, necessitating welding. The last stage of the repair process is sandblasting and applying a new paint.
