While doing
Brake disk replacement (rear) service, keep the following in mind:
- Always use brake pads by reputed manufacturers - your brakes are your safety
- Avoid braking in big puddles - water may cause the hot discs to deform
- By buying high quality brake pads you can double the useful life of the discs.
- Never change your discs if you do not intend to change the brake pads. Old, partially worn pads must never be used with new discs.
- Be gentle with your brakes immediately after the replacement. Discs and pads are friction elements and need to settle properly, so avoid sudden braking for several hundred kilometres after you have them changed.
