LPG tank certification

LPG tank certification

LPG manufacturers claim that the life span of their LPG tanks is 20 years. The law, however, is much stricter and provides for a 10-year validity period of type approval certificates. After this period an LPG tank must undergo an examination in the course of which a tank's shell and interior are checked, and the tank is subjected to a pressure test. The examination is required if a tank is to be approved for further use. The examination is cheaper than replacing a tank with a new one, unless you have the possibility of replacing only the tank, without the multivalve.
