Pulse sensor / pulser replacement

Pulse sensor / pulser replacement

The speed sensor measures the rotational speed of the differential gear and passes the relevant information to the car's speed meter. The signals may be transmitted electronically or mechanically. When it fails, the speed meter shows wrong or no indications. Another symptom of its failure is a higher engine speed. When it fails, it needs replacing.

Tips

  • When it fails, the speed meter and the odometer show wrong or no indications. Additionally, the car computer has a problem calculating the average fuel consumption
  • If damaged, the sensor may cause the tachometer and the speed meter hands to go up and down. The engine may even turn off when starting gently or manoeuvring at a low speed

Scope of services

  • Removing the faulty sensor
  • Fitting a new sensor in
  • Cancelling errors in the computer
