The crankshaft sensor informs the ignition control system about the rotational speed of the crankshaft. These indications serve as a basis for determining the characteristics of the ignition and fuel injection. The signal from the sensor is also used to stabilize the engine in the neutral gear and to control the intake manifold. Its failure affects the comfort and safety of driving. Its symptoms include engine jerking on acceleration, changing engine speed, decreasing power and torque, as well as engine turning off.
