Brake position sensor replacement

Brake position sensor replacement

The brake pedal sensor measures the speed at which the pedal is pressed. If the pedal is pressed faster that normally, the pressure in the brake system increases to generate full braking power. If this is the case, in some cars the emergency lights go on or the brake lights start to pulse to let the other drivers know that you are emergency braking.

Tips

  • The brake pedal sensor should be replaced with a new one when it fails
  • A faulty sensor may affect the operation of the brake assist system
