Engine oil level sensor replacement

Engine oil level sensor replacement

The oil sensor controls the engine oil level. Its failure prevents you from detecting oil loss and may even cause engine seizure. If damaged, the sensor may indicate low oil level even though a dipstick check shows evidence to the contrary.

Tips

  • Changing the sensor usually requires removing oil from the engine
  • Wrong oil sensor indications may cause a serious engine malfunction
  • Check the oil level using the dipstick every 3 thousand kilometres

Scope of services

  • Refilling the engine with oil
