Repair of manual gearbox

Gearbox repair is a complex process that requires specific knowledge and special tools. To carry out such work, it is first necessary to carry out car diagnostics, after which the gearbox must be removed from the car. This is followed by its disassembly and fault finding, repair of mechanical parts, repair of the hydraulic control unit (if necessary) and inspection and repair of the hydro transformer if necessary. Once the work is complete, the gearbox must be put back together and installed back into the car, followed by an oil top-up and final checks and/or diagnostics to ensure that the work has been carried out to a high standard. Considering the impressive amount of work, this repair will not be one of the cheapest.
